I love this video. Everytime I see it, I cry. This girl finds such incredible joy in the fact she can now hear herself. How often do we take that gift for granted? And each new sound she hears is going to be a new thing to her, that she can enjoy and become excited about. It’s incredible.

So often there are expectations in relationships and we end up keeping a tally sheet with others. God is faithful (thankfully!!) whether we do our part or not and is the ultimate example of how to live. We shouldn’t keep a tally sheet with Him…nor should we with anyone else.

Ha! Too true. That is funny that you write about the Kia… The same thing happened to my VW. That was the first thing that he crashed into, and fortunately it was my car and not someone else’s! It is a new found freedom. Thanks for sharing!

When our youngest decided to take his training wheels off on his own and ride it was an amazing day. The side of my Kia was never the same after that but he felt like he was gaining his independence for sure. He was our last child and for me it was like watching the bird leave the nest he had a whole new level of freedom.
